Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Squat Lock application ("the app", "we", "our"). By downloading or using Squat Lock, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Squat Lock, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Squat Lock is a fitness application that uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to restrict access to selected apps on your device. To unlock these apps, you must complete a configurable number of squats detected by your device's motion sensors. The app also tracks workout history, streaks, and achievements.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Squat Lock. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for granting the necessary permissions (Screen Time, Health, Motion, Notifications) for the app to function properly.
- You should perform squats in a safe environment and within your physical capabilities.
- You are responsible for any actions taken on your device after unlocking apps.
5. Health & Safety Disclaimer
Squat Lock is not a medical application and does not provide medical advice. The app is intended for general fitness motivation only. Before beginning any exercise program, consult with a healthcare professional, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions. You use the app's exercise features at your own risk.
Calorie calculations and workout metrics are estimates and should not be relied upon for medical or dietary decisions.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
- Squat Lock may offer premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Subscriptions are managed and billed through Apple's App Store. All payments are processed by Apple.
- Subscription terms, pricing, and renewal details are displayed at the time of purchase.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
- Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of Squat Lock are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
8. App Availability
We strive to keep Squat Lock available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app requires specific device capabilities (accelerometer, Screen Time support) and may not function on all devices. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squat Lock and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Physical injury resulting from exercise performed while using the app.
- Loss of access to apps or data due to Screen Time restrictions.
- Inaccurate calorie or workout data.
- Any issues caused by third-party services (Apple, RevenueCat).
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the app at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the app.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
